about us
Welcome to Homestead Hospitality—our mini-homestead and vacation rental in Jericho, Vermont!
Our 10-acre homestead is nestled in the western foothills of Vermont’s Green Mountains, between Bolton and Underhill. Surrounded by lush forest and perched above the babbling Mill Brook, our workable land is scattered with bountiful fruit, flower, and vegetable gardens.
We began our venture into vegetarian homesteading in 2018. We have designed a 3-season vegetarian homestead—meaning no livestock—that will eventually provide us organic sustenance all year long.
As modern day homesteaders, we are not true farming folk who live entirely off the land in a cashless economy. Instead, we enjoy sharing the experience of our beautiful homestead with others so that we may contribute to our local and global economy as well—through travel, leisure, recreation, and indulging in all the yummy goodies our neighboring farms and family businesses are producing.
Our guests help us support a large network of Vermont localvores, while keeping our own garden-to-pantry efforts alive! Our homestead & hospitality supports dozens of local organic farmers, nursery owners, bakers, brewers, labors, and more, including:
Jericho Settler’s Farm (eggs & winter greens)
Conant’s Riverside Farm (corn on the cob)
Cabot Creamery (milk & butter)
Paquette Full of Posies (plants & seeds)
Green Mountain Compost (soil, mulch & compost)
Vermont Coffee Company (locally roasted fair trade organic coffee)
Nitty Gritty Grain Company (flours & grains)
…And so many more!
Come stay with us and experience a modern homestead in one of the most magical places on earth!
See you soon,
Julie & Kris
